Thirst for Competition Hits Whistler with BCWWA’s Third Annual “Best of the Best” Tap Water Taste Test

April 29, 2016 – WHISTLER –Media are invited to watch 15 municipal and regional district water entrants from around BC and the Yukon compete for the coveted title of best tap water. This is the third annual event where a panel of selected “aqualiers” will sample and judge water on stage in front of 1,200 delegates at the BC Water and Waste Associations’ Annual Conference. The aqualiers will evaluate the water based on appearance, aroma, taste, mouth feel, aftertaste, and overall impression.

The event is held during BC Water Week (May 1 to 7) to help raise awareness about the important role our water systems play in protecting public health and the environment The judges, listed below, as well as Tanja McQueen, CEO of BC Water and Waste Association, are available for interviews during the event.
