Metro Vancouver has managed the water supply for the Lower Mainland since the late 1800’s. They measure snowpack, rainfall and reservoir levels constantly. They also measure our collective water use continuously, and report publically on both those numbers.
Due to unseasonably dry and hot weather, Metro Vancouver has further restricted water use, including lawn sprinkling regulations. There are many good resources available that can help you have engaging conversations with your family and neighbours. Check out the current reservoir levels and sprinkling regulations on their website. Do your part and use our water wisely.
