Saturday, May 7, 2016

9:00-12:00 pm   |  Creek to Creek tour  |  Whistler Wastewater Treatment Plant

Learn about Whistler’s water distribution system and Wastewater Treatment Plant. This tour will take you to the water collection site at 21 Mile Creek and you will learn about the water treatment process and how water gets distributed to the public. Finally see how the waste water gets treated before it gets released into the environment. Sign up by Thursday May 5 by emailing engineers@whistler.ca.

3:30-4:30  |  Family Together Time  |  Whistler Public Library

Join us as we build a working water cycle. This craft can be taken home as you watch the water evaporate, turn to condensation and drop onto your plant to keep it watered. This drop in event is suitable for children aged 3+ with a caregiver.

Learn more about Whistler’s drinking water system and water conservation efforts.
